I am an editor and journalist with more than a decade of experience working for newspapers and magazines.

I spent seven years in-house at The Independent, firstly as a news and features writer, before going on to become digital editor for arts and culture. I was in charge of commissioning, editing and organising coverage for major arts events, from blockbuster book launches and the Turner Prize to Glastonbury festival.

Since going freelance in late 2015 I've written or edited for most of the national newspapers and websites, including the Evening Standard, the i newspaper, The Times, Telegraph, Mail and Guardian.

Since 2018, I have been editor of Popshot Quarterly, an illustrated literary magazine published by the Chelsea Magazine Company.

I have been interim editor or launch editor for a range of print or digital publications, coming up with editorial strategy, planning, implementing good practice and helping to smooth transition between editors. Titles I've worked for in this capacity include BBC Earth magazine, Huffington Post UK and Zoopla.

I produce content and strategy advice for businesses and agencies such as M&C Saatchi, Google, Zoopla, NatWest, GivingForce, Sonder and WeAreFutures. Charities I have worked with include Unicef, Save the Children and Comic Relief.
